Of Australian Interest _ RMS Orizaba ship's portrait and another of a steam clipper, oil on canvas, 60x34cm, framed
RMS Orizaba was a Royal Mail Ship wrecked off Rockingham, Western Australia on 16 February 1905. On her approach to Fremantle, a smog of bushfire smoke was obscuring the coast and the captain lost his bearings. The ship went aground in 6.1 meters (20 ft) of water on Five Fathom Bank, west of Garden Island.

One canvas depicting the ship with sails has a 2 inch tear to the canvas to the top left hand side. The canvas is grubby and in need of a clean. The canvas with the ship under steam has a small hole to the bottom right hand corner. and both canvasses have tiny pin holes when held to the light. Neither show any signs of repairs or restoration.
